Projects Consortium for Research on Early Childhood Development and Education (CORE) Projects: Child Assessment EAP-ECDSThe East Asia-Pacific Early Childhood Development Scales (EAP-ECDS) may be used for direct assessment of children ranging in age from 3 to 5 years. They are the first regional child assessment tool developed based on the culture and values of countries of a world region. HKECDSThe Hong Kong Early Child Development Scale (HKECDS) was developed based on the context of Hong Kong. This Scale is a population level assessment of early childhood development. ECDASThe Early Childhood Developmental Assessment Scales (ECDAS) include the Developmentally on Track Assessment Scale and Caregiver Survey, the Early Childhood Development Assessment Scale-Direct Assessment (ECDAS-DA), and the Early Childhood Development Assessment Scale-Caregiver Survey (ECDAS-CS). These three tools are closely aligned with UNICEF’s recently released ECDI2030 and may be used to measure ECD in Asia.
