Supporting kindergarten children’s development in Hong Kong

This presentation reviews government documents and research findings relevant to providing support for kindergarten children during the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic in Hong Kong. It includes a summary of the government’s measures on school suspension, grant provision, curriculum resources, protection measures for class resumption, and survey findings on support provided by kindergartens. Based on anecdotal records, we also discuss how kindergartens react to the measures and how these responses may impact child development.
